After a morning of shopping on Saturday, I came across Smack Lobster tucked away down Binnney Street. It’s part of the chain Burger and Lobster and has a casual canteen feel about it. There is not much on the menu, which I really like, and my mum and I opted for a California and a Japanese Samurai. Let’s start with the California, you could really taste the funky lobster in the roll. It’s surprisingly filling but my favourite was the Japanese Samurai. The ginger and lobster just work and it was so tasty I could of eaten it again. The bread is also seriously good, crunchy yet soft and the butter just added to the flavour, yummy!

We shared a side of courgette chips which were nice but a little oily near the bottom, but that could be because they are served in a cup so the heat made the chips a little soggy. We had a glass of their raw cola, which has a bitter after taste but these drinks are bottomless and you could try the lemonade too.

Over all I enjoyed the food here, £9 to eat in £7 to take away its a quick pit stop for when you don’t want to sit around so it’s location off of busy Oxford street is ideal. If you’re in the City give it a go, let me know what you think.
