/ Beauty, Make Up

L’oreal is one of my top three favourite drugstore brands, their mono eyeshadows were my favourite eye product release of 2014, and when I saw that they were releasing a nude palette, I just had to get my hands on it. The packing is very travel friendly and sleek, It has a large mirror and a double ended brush, which is just a standard applicator you get, not great but good for on the move.

Inside there are 10 shadows, 4 matte shades and 6 satin shades, none of them have very chunky glitters or very shimmery shades like you would find in the Naked palettes or the Clinqué palettes. This is a selection of warm toned colours and are great for the Autumn/Winter seasons,  with browns and golden tones moving into deeper shades and a very pretty deep purple.

So what do I really think? This is a great colour selection, handy to grab for everyday but to be honest the pigmentation and the quality of the shadows are not great, especially when you compare them to the mono shadows released earlier in the year which are AMAZING! This is such a shame as like I said, I tend to love all things L’oreal. The matte shades feel a little chalky and you have to really build up the colours to get real payoff, but for an everyday looks the colours are soft and easy to create simple looks with. This is better than other drugstore nude pallet offerings, like the Maybeline palette, but I just wish it was better.  Im going to keep using this, and update you further in a video as to how I’m getting on with it, with a good primer these colours should hopefully come alive, but I’m hoping the next release will be more vibrant in pigmentation.
