On my quest for perfect skin, (like almost everyone) I have been trying a few new bits, and I’m wanting to explore what the drug stores have in comparsison to my high end skin care. At the moment my skin is in a good place so lets see if it remains that way after a few weeks.
L’oreal Youth code serum £19.99
This has a strange white consistency and I have been using it mostly in the morning under my moisturiser. I haven’t noticed a massive change yet but it is early days. It does feel smoothing and cool on the skin. My skin is no worse but I’m hoping that it will provide more brightness to my skin over time.
This works: super moisturiser (how uncomfortable is that doing it all in lower case!). I found this in TKMAXX and it was only £7.99 compared to the rest of the range. I like the brand and thought I would give it a go. Now this is a funky smelling cream, its filled with essential oils, shea butter and walnut oil. It also contains Galateic acid (derived from apples and lemons which is meant to protect from pollution and free radicals. This seems to be discontinued online but I don’t think it provides great moisture and I find I have to add a few more drops of Rosehip oil in to give it a boost.
Nivia Cell Anti Age £14.99
I have been using this one the longest, and I really like this cream. It’s quite scented but its a fresh smell. It has an amazing blurring effect in the skin and sits really well under my make up. It has hydrologic acid in it which really helps to lock the moisture to the skin. Nivia is one of those trusted brands that I have used on and off for years and I can see why.
