I’m starting a new series on my blog (and soon to be YouTube channel) called why I love… It will be a mixture of some silly things, some meaningful things and it will feature some of the bloggers and vloggers that I love out there. For me, its another outlet to spread some love across the internet.
So with out further ado, I’m going to start with why I love Fitness Blender.
For those of you who may not of heard of Fitness Blender, they are a husband and wife duo Kelli and Daniel who have a library of fitness videos free on YouTube. yes FREE! Mostly based around HIIT training (High Intensity Interval Training) but they also incorporate yoga based routines, kickboxing and weight training. It really is a fully comprehensive library of videos ranging from 10 mins to 1 hour. They also have difficulty levels and and calorie estimations and for me the best part, they have written 8 week, and 4 week programs, a food diary and a program for busy people where all of the workouts are 30 minutes long, So no more excuses. For a small fee (you can get these books on their site www.fitnessblender.com) these are really a drop in the ocean costs when you think of gym fees.
Now this may be enough for you to get excited, but let me tell you more about why i love these two. I have done work outs on YouTube, and own many DVD’s, and found with some the music, and annoying in your face presenters, with oiled 6 packs really irritating after a while, especially if you’re doing the same workout over and over. Fitness Blender is calm, yet motivating, realistic and encouraging and have such a variety of videos you can’t get bored. Daniels voice is motivating without making you feel like you are being court marshalled, and Kelli doing the workouts along with you, feeling the pain and seeing it in her face, lets you know that one day you will get there too!
They do Q&A video’s that are full of advice and tips with no BS! Never pushing their agenda and always telling the truth. New video’s being uploaded all the time, all this and its just the two of them creating all this great content.
I feel like these guys helped me recover after my first pregnancy. I lost over 40 pounds in 5 months with their workouts and I’ve started again now my son is 4 months old, and I’m loving it. The freedom to workout at home, in the garden anywhere you can get 4G is great, and I don’t think I will ever join a gym again.
So why should you check them out? Well, for all the reasons above, and what do you have to lose. The sense of satisfaction you feel after a workout is amazing, and going through the plan day by day you really feel yourself getting fitter and stronger. If you want further inspiration there are a few before and after videos online, and they are brilliant to watch on those days you feel you can’t be bothered.
