I had a little trip to Boots, I swear I spend more time in there than I do at home, and I came away with a few bits.
Orange lips are in this season and to let myself in gently to this trend I brought the Bourjour Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Orange Punch – I love this. It’s so pretty and moisturising on the lips, not too sheer the perfect amount of colour, not to intimidating on those who may not want to do a full on bold orange lip. The Rouge Edition Range is so creamy on the lips. There are some beautiful classic colours and I really like the packaging as its easy to see the colours, The staying power isn’t the best, but it’s a good drugstore lippy never the less.
The Maybelline Colour Sensational are a surprisingly pigmented formulation that doesn’t leave your lips sticky. I’m not a massive lip gloss kinda girl, but the colour range and the feeling on my lips has converted me.
I was with my husband when i brought the 17 Cheek Stamp, he could not stop laughing, it reminded him of Homer Simpsons makeup gun! Its a pretty dusty pink blush. It does have shimmer in it but it looks like a pretty highlight. You can stamp it straight on the cheeks and blend out with a brush, but i find swirling in the product with the brush easier, and I love the mirror on the back.
The No7 Pop and Glow and highlighter is really easy to use and set to a dry finish. The blush looks intense in the stick but it is really a colour you can build and I find if I blend to much I almost need to start again as the colour just comes off. Its a beautiful spring colour and you get so much product, it will last for ages. The highlighter is not too subtle, it doesn’t give you that Becca skin shimmer, my skin from within glow and I think this is because it is quite white, but less is more with this product and a gental sweep does give a good highlight, but this is more of an evening product for me.
Let me know your thoughts on the these products, and if you have bought anything new lately that you’re loving
